# PrestaShop maintenance

PrestaShop is yours to run — hosting, PHP, modules and core updates included. Once a minor line reaches end of life, the security fixes stop and the door stays open. Our fixed-price plans keep your shop current: core and module updates, backups, security monitoring and performance work, with plain-language reporting.

- Core and module update choreography
- PHP and hosting compatibility kept in sync
- Backups, security and anomaly hunting
- Performance and Core Web Vitals

## Why unmaintained PrestaShop is critical

*PrestaShop is yours to run — and once a version line dies, the fixes stop with it.*

- **Cybersecurity** — The first deliverable of every plan: hardened stacks, patched software, anomaly hunting and incident response — the numbers below are what happens when it works.
- **2 lines** — PrestaShop 1.6 and 1.7 have reached end of life — they no longer receive security fixes, so an old shop is an open door *(PrestaShop release policy)*
- **In lockstep** — PrestaShop and PHP versions move together — without care, shops strand on unsupported PHP and modules drift apart *(PrestaShop system requirements)*
- **PCI DSS** — Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard: requires current, patched software for any shop that takes card payments — unmaintained means non-compliant *(PCI DSS v4)*
- **≈ +8%** — conversion per 0.1 s of load time saved — speed is a maintenance output, not a one-off *(Deloitte, Milliseconds Make Millions)*
- **≈ 70%** — of shopping carts are abandoned — errors, slowness and distrust keep the average high *(Baymard Institute)*
